David Geffen Hall sits on the north side of Lincoln Center's plaza at Broadway and West 65th Street. Its main room, the Wu Tsai Theater, seats about 2,200 after a renovation that reopened the hall on October 8, 2022, moving the stage forward and wrapping seats around it so the audience sits closer to the orchestra. The calendar is mostly New York Philharmonic subscription concerts, plus film-with-orchestra nights, galas and family programs. Upcoming dates: Nov 4–5 — New York Philharmonic Thibaudet Performs Liszt; Nov 7 — Young People's Concert 1, New York Philharmonic Thibaudet Performs Liszt; Nov 19–21 — New York Philharmonic Huang Performs Mendelssohn; Nov 25 — New York Philharmonic Rouvali Conducts Schubert.

Concert picks: Handel's Messiah on Wednesday, December 9, Harry Potter in Concert on Thursday, December 17, Bell & Vivaldi's Four Seasons on Saturday, January 2, 2027, Dudamel and Beethoven's Ninth on Thursday, June 3, 2027 and Amadeus in Concert on Thursday, June 24, 2027. Every orchestra date is also on our New York Philharmonic tickets page, and more city events are on our New York tickets page.

Best seats

The orchestra level is the main floor and puts you closest to the players. Three tiers rise above it, and since the 2022 renovation some seats wrap around the sides and back of the stage, which gives a close, unusual view of the conductor. For film-with-orchestra nights like Harry Potter, pick seats that face the screen rather than sitting behind the stage. Seat maps can change by concert, so check the map for your date.

Ticket prices

Messiah, Harry Potter in Concert, the galas and Dudamel's June programs usually draw the highest prices, while weekday matinees and early-week concerts are often cheaper. Resale seats here are priced by demand, so they may land over or under the printed price. We list the full cost with fees up front, before payment. Prefer to talk it through? Call 855-855-6777.
