Buy Richmond tickets online

Richmond’s classic ticket product is the Altria Theater — the ornate 1927 hall at Monroe Park formerly known as the Mosque and Landmark Theater. BuyTickets.com has sold Richmond tickets as independent resale. This page is not the city, not Ticketmaster, and not AXS. All-in prices show before you pay; we do not claim “no fees.” 100% ticket guarantee — valid tickets, on time, or we make the order right. Broadway tryouts, comedy, and concerts fill the calendar. Arena and club dates elsewhere in the metro do not share that map; Short Pump suburban rooms are a western drive. Listings often append “Richmond” to Altria Theater to separate it from other Altria-branded rooms. When primary sells out — a Broadway week, a major comedy hold — compare resale listings here. Read the city and the hall on the row. Checkout stays on checkout.buytickets.com. Resale moves with Mid-Atlantic tour routing through 2026. Need a person? Call 855-855-6777.

Richmond’s pro sports story is regional and college-forward; the theater and special-event calendar carry the ticket volume. The Capitol, Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Carytown, and James River parks sit around Monroe Park nights. Parking passes are not event tickets.

A little history

The Mosque opened in 1927 as a Shriner-built theater palace, later Landmark Theater, now Altria Theater — same house, new signs. Richmond’s riverfront revitalization eras kept the historic hall at the center of the city’s prestige calendar.

Landmarks and places to see

The Capitol grounds, VMFA, Carytown shops, and Brown’s Island festivals frame a weekend. Monroe Park puts Altria Theater near VCU energy — walkable for many hotels, still confirm the door on the ticket.

How the map splits

Monroe Park / Fan for Altria Theater. Downtown and Shockoe Bottom for dinner and nightlife. Short Pump is suburban west. Do not confuse Altria Theater with an arena bowl.

Local tips

Historic halls mean tighter bag rules and older seat geometry — read row notes. Street parking near Monroe Park vanishes on sold-out Broadway weeks. Verify Richmond vs other Altria-named rooms on the confirmation.
